SpinMeister is a personal blog that aims to enlighten and inspire with reflections from a communications practitioner taking a brief sabbatical from shaping corporate narrative and setting course on a journey to tell her own stories and share insights on what matters to her. This can range from anecdotes about family and friends, tales of cool places I’ve visited or cultural events I’ve attended, or general commentary and reflection on life experiences.
A little bit about me
I’m a family gal and a people pal. I enjoy connecting with folks from all walks of life and hearing their stories. I like to listen and try to understand what makes each of us unique.
I first began writing as a little girl. I loved to entertain and make up stories that engaged my own imagination and appealed to others. I made a career of it.
With a Journalism degree and a public relations certificate, I began shaping the narrative of a number of leading Canadian organizations. I promoted their successes, I protected their failures and I brought to life their corporate brand for their stakeholders – employees, clients, shareholders, communities. I put forward the best of who they were.
After years of telling others’ stories, SpinMeister tells my own story, gives my own POV and shares insights I’ve found important in my own personal journey.
I hope you enjoy the anecdotes I’m about to share. The views are all my own.
